The Village Ordinary – Al Capone on the Banjo

John Pedigo and Chad Acton from Louisville, KY have played back up for some of my personal folk and/or country favorites like Joan Shelley, Daniel Martin Moore and Nick Dittmeier. Besides being skilled back up musicians, they can handle the songwriting duties just as well. Their debut album under the moniker The Village Ordinary is due out on the 2nd of February. It’s a very enjoyable album and I’m a little bit in love with the song Partly Cloudy, but perhaps I’ll get to that when the album is out and available. The first outtake from the forthcoming album The Needle Spins is also excellent and carries a title Al Capone on the Banjo. Listen to it below and hit that Bandcamp link for pre-order information.
