Moving back to Finland and more precisely Helsinki, but definitely continuing with the theme of roots music with classic harmonies. The singing is one of the biggest strengths of Iron Country Sisters. It’s a trio of three actual sisters who share the lead vocal duties and then back each other with those dazzlingly beautiful harmonies. They could sing the phone book (if those still exist) and it would still sound beautiful. Nevertheless, it’s still a good thing that the songs are wonderful too. They are getting ready to release their debut album The Blue Hidden In on the 27th of September, so this blog will definitely get back to their music quite soon after this anniversary week. Meanwhile we can enjoy this living room version of an album cut called Woodstock.
