Another week, another new music weekly.
Let’s start with some podcast news this time around. The second season of the finest music podcast Cocaine & Rhinestones is here and episode one is now available. Extremely highly recommended if you have any interest in the history of country music and well.. even that is probably not a must, because it’s such a great and engaging podcast. Follow the action on their website or wherever you listen to podcasts.
As for new albums. The big one for me this was the new wonderful Vanessa Peters albums, but there’s a whole lot more. The week gave us beautiful new albums from Nick Shoulders, The Rose Petals, Croy and the Boys (EP), M G Boulter, Todd Snider, Dinosaur Jr, Orchid Eaton, Jason Tyler Burton (EP) and Neilson Hubbard. Oh yeah and on Bandcamp there’s a new one from Doc Feldman & the Alt Cntry Delete.
From the Finnish side of things the one I have highlighted is the new album from Joose Keskitalo. This time singing in English. I probably still prefer his Finnish stuff, but plenty to love here as well. The Doors is a remarkable song. We also got new full-lengths from The Flaming Sideburns and Icons of Elegance plus singles from Mitä helvettiä nyt taas, Hulda Huima, KO:MI and Ruissalo Amping.
And there’s a lot of gorgeous international should-be hit singles. Some personal favorites came from Jeremy James Meyer, Evan Cheadle, Yola, Hiss Golden Messenger, K.C. Jones, Shay Martin Lovette, John R. Miller, Kyle Cox, Uwade (missed this last week), John Andrews & The Yawns (also from last week), Sleepy Jean (a great debut single), The Felice Brothers, St Lenox and Nick Nace. Again just to name a few. You’ll find them all below. Very often something that’s at the end of the playlist becomes the biggest favorite when I listen to this during the week.
That’s all for this week. Love from a distance.

Oh and do buy the vinyl/cd/download. Spotify and other streaming services are perfect for these introductory purposes, but try to buy at least the music that matter the most to you
If you are looking this after a week has gone, the embedded Spotify will show the latest playlist. I’ll just update the same playlist because a) if someone wants to follow it, they can just follow that one list and will get a new set of songs each Sunday b) so that I don’t have a trillion of different playlists on my Spotify account.
