A small late night video post. If this recent folk/americana direction of this blog feels dreadfully boring to you, here’s a great blast of Finnish rock’n’roll. You can practice the beautiful Finnish language while you’re at it. Ok, this Pienet Koirat song might be a bit of a challenge even for a native speaker. A damn good song though and I love the video where people try to do some karaoke sing along to a song that they have never heard. Plus there’s cats too and well above all.. I love cats. Lähehä is the second single from their forthcoming album.

Moving on to the gorgeous new Kynnet song Raaputa kaljatuoppiin. It’s an outtake from their forthcoming album Vähät välittää that is due out on 12th of October on Svart Records.

This is something really special. The finest Finnish band perfectly captured on film. Ochre Room – Cabin Sessions was directed, shot and edited by Sami Pöyry (Monadi-filmi). Somewhere between a live session and a short film says the press release and that sums it up nicely. The first four songs on the video are from Ochre Room’s latest album Box, Bar & Diamond that came out in April 2014 (Lumpeela Julkaisut / Beste! Unterhaltung). The Wonderminers have some typewriter action for you. They recently released a lyric video for the song Green Fields. Matti Jasu wrote a lot of amazing pop songs for Goodnight Monsters and I’ve been eagerly waiting his new material. Now the wait is almost over. Matti Jasu will perform at Flavour of the Month on friday 2nd of december with his new band and today this cool video of a song called Fingers Crossed appeared. Fingers crossed that the Matti Jasu & The Loose Train album will soon hit the stores and our hearts. I’m 100% sure that it’s going to be awesome.
