OCTA New Music Weekly – Episode #276

The album of the week is the new Michael Feuerstack. Love that album. Other great album releases came from ROY, Loose Collars, Scott McMicken and THE EVER-EXPANDING, Heather Little, Stephanie Lambring and Hour (well this was last week, but I managed to miss this beauty).

The big one from Finland is the new Iron Country Sisters single. Great to get new music from them. We also have a new album from Kari Burana and singles from Samanna, Amuri, Lempi Elo, Julian Lahdesmaki, Eerie Deer and Folkjykä & Kuntoutujat. New quietly powerful Samae Koskinen single too for the third week in a row and more to come next week. The kind of warm voice that we sure need when a total lack of empathy seems to be the running theme of the government’s policy.

Eamon Fogarty’s new single is the international song of the week. His new album is going to be wonderful. Also love the new Keven Louis Lareau song. I always do. Other early faves came from Adeem the Artist, Myriam Gendron, Jake Nicoll, Rainy Eyes, The Bird Calls, Rachel Baiman & Caroline Spence, Pat Hull, Tim Easton, Lana Nauphal, Lost Dog Street Band… again just to name a few.

That’s all for now. Like, share, follow and all the usual promotional nonsense. It all matters. The Spotify version hit 900 followers last week. Which was nice. The numbers are kind of arbitrary, but it’s still nice to see this slowly finding more listeners. Thank you all. Back sometime next weekend with another one of these. Love.
