Another quick Sunday edition of the new music weekly. I haven’t really done a good job with this during the summer, but here’s a some kind of round-up of the new music of the week.
Jessica Risker’s new one can be the album of the week. Listened to that beauty of a record a lot yesterday while walking around the city. Other album gems this week came from Beauty (thanks to Rosy Overdrive for this one), Jake Nicoll, Emily Hines, Josh Halper, Bad Posture Club (this one is a month old, but I just found out today and loved it on first listen), Toby Goodshank, Travis Roberts, Sunny Sweeney, Luke Pelletier, Jake Dwyer Band and Patrick Sweany.
On the Finnish side of things, we have a moving Valmistaudu rauhaan album from Monna Kamu, Minja Koski, Kielo Kärkkäinen, Eero Ojanen, Arto Piispanen and Ville Rauhala. Other gems are an EP from Kelluvat ikkunat and singles from Arppa, Väisänen, Surupuseroiset, Juppe and Star Marcs.
Some early favorites on the international singles part are from Nathan Jacques, Joe Wunderle, Ron Sexsmith, Angela Autumn, The Pink Stones.. again just to name a few.

I will miss at least one more week in August, but that’s a bit later. I’ve been also thinking about wrapping up the whole weekly thing. Maybe 350 would be a good round number. Justifying spending five or so hours every weekend on a mostly Spotify playlist gets trickier on multitudes of levels. But of course onechordnet carries on in some shape or form even if there are changes. Also it’s highly possible that it’s easier for me to see the value in keeping on compiling this when the days get darker and shorter. Love and everything.
