This is a marvellous song from the new Possessed By Paul James album Feed The Family which is out right about now I think. It certainly looks like I’m gonna order that album tomorrow or thereabouts. This is such a fantastic song and I watched this clip more than ten times tonight. Thanks for ninebullets.net for posting it (I knew PPJ beforehand, but had not seen this video). Apparently it’s from a movie called The Folk Singer and it also looks like I’m gonna buy the DVD or the download of the film from the Slowboat Films website tomorrow or thereabouts.

FLAVOUR OF THE MONTH TÄYTTÄÄ 12 VUOTTA
Turkulainen kitarapopklubi Flavour Of The Month täyttää jo 12 vuotta. Viimeiset 8 vuotta FOTM on toiminut Pikku-Torressa ja esitellyt aina kuukausittain uusia, paikallisia tai tuntemattomia alan liveakteja tyylilleen uskollisesti, mutta laajakatseisesti ja mahdollisimman monipuolisesti toimintaolosuhteet huomioiden.
Flavour Of The Monthin 12 vuotta juhlitaan Pikku-Torressa lauantaina 4.9. Esiintymässä tuolloin ovat turkulais-helsinkiläinen Nopat, joka esittelee kesällä ilmestynyttä debyyttivinyylisingleään sekä kuuma helsinkiläistulokas The Spoonshiners, joka soittaa rottaisesti rämisevää voimapoppia Amerikan vaihteella. Bändiä on kuvailtu mm. Lynyrd Skynyrdin ja Hüsker Dün ja toisaalta Dead Moonin ja humalaisen CCR:n sekoitukseksi. Bändiä uskaltaa suositella ainakin esim. The Hold Steadyn, Drive-By Truckersin, The Replacementsin tai Neil Youngin Crazy Horsen ystäville.

News & Video of the Day #15: Penniless
There’s some good times going on at the moment, if you are into finnish pop and rock music. The new Sweatmaster album that came out two days ago is absolutely wonderful and next wednesday 1st of september will deliver two hopefully (and most likely) magnificent pop albums, because new Penniless album and new Lemonator album will hit the stores and your heart. This is a brand new video Hail Of Bullets from the upcoming Penniless album A Cab To The City. I love it and will be camping outside the record store to get the album early on wednesday morning. If you watch this, I will probably meet you there.
