Here’s the Easter edition of the new music weekly. Quite a heavy release week, so good to have a couple of extra days at home to digest everything.

Hello Emerson is my album of the week, but there’s a lot of good alternatives too. We have new albums from Turner Cody, Jeremy Ferrara, Scott Ballew, Kimmi Bitter, The Secret Sisters, Scott H. Biram, Casual Technicians, The High Llamas, Mike Michaels’ Gentle Earth (a week or two old, but New Commute directed me to it yesterday), Ariel Sharratt, Shotgun Jimmie & Mathias Kom (EP), Bobbie, Magana, Sarah King, Dawn Landes, Jon Snodgrass and Spencer Kilpatrick (a week or so old).

Finnish section has an EP from Plastic Tones plus a run of singles from Mere Stellar, Oho!, Hiekka, Mara Balls, Kari Burana, Inariveljet, FER, Tuomo & Markus feat Verneri Pohjola, Rohkeat kuvat and Kärmes.

Anna Tivel and Adeem the Artist can share the song of the week honors. Other early faves came from Adam Remnant, Pat Hull, ROY, Merce Lemon, Marina Allen, Erin Mat & Paul, Daniel Markham, Jessica Pratt, Lost Dog Street Band.. again just to name a few.

Rough week. I thought about skipping this one, but new music release schedule doesn’t rest and there’s again a lot of it. So here’s a quick mild pneumonia recovery edition of the weekly. I’m sure there’s quite a lot stuff missing, because I just went with what I knew beforehand and didn’t make any sort of a deep dive.

New Rosali is the album of the week. There’s also new greatness from Charlie Parr, Sam Evian, Waxahatchee, Adrianne Lenker, Sierra Ferrell, Pat Reedy, William Alexander, Hunter Hicks, Crow vs Lion, Rosie Tucker, Alena Spanger, Shaela Miller, Son of the Velvet Rat, Thee Sinseers and Aoife O’Donovan.

From the Finnish side of things we awesome new album from V.Härkönen, Saimaa, Ylva Haru and Jere Ijäs ja Monacon Työväen Palloilijat plus singles gold from Nightbird, Salaliitto, Keidas and Franka Oroza and Cold Diamond & Mink.

New Turner Cody song is the international single of the week. Other early faves came from The Pearlfishers, Wojtek the Bear, Chris Kasper, Winter McQuinn, Erin Mat & Paul and so forth. Again just to name a few.

Another quick flu edition. It has been difficult to get rid off whatever this virus is.

Wonder Women of Country EP is my favorite release of the week. We also have great albums from Paper Wings, Dancer, Country Risque and Andrea von Kampen plus EPs from Charlie Whitten and Dominic Angelella.

A big Finnish release week led by the wonderful new Viitasen Piia album. There’s also gorgeous new albums from Iisa, Klara LaFleur, Brian and AURAL and singles from Luhtaniitty, Poni, Kaita Isäri Seppälä, HXA, D.O.P.A., Rosita Luu, Modem and Ptak.

There’s big release news too, because there’s a new Myriam Gendron album on the way with a first single. That’s the song of the week. There’s also the debut single from Erin, Mat & Paul. I think it will be a covers only album, but I know it will be special because I love Erin Rae, Mat Davidson (aka Twain) and Paul DeFiglia. Other early faves this week came from Hello Emerson, Shabason, Krgvich & Sage, Mammoth Penguins, Daniel Markham, Scott Ballew, The Lemon Twigs and Cara Beth Satalino. Again just to name a few.

A quick flu-ish edition of the new music weekly. I have close to zero brain activity in my foggy head, so there’s probably errors and stuff missing.

This week there’s albums from Joe Pug, Quinn Pilgrim (EP), AC Sapphire, Idanha, The Tyde, The Northern Belle, Misty Lanes, The Mellows, The Hanging Stars, Tomato Flower, Hanemoon, Eyelids (comp of rarities and such) and Alison Eales (EP).

Big Finnish release week led by long-waited albums from Ylva Haru and Tams. New Sami Yaffa album too and a couple of great EPs too from Teini-Pää and Juovat. And a whole lot gorgeous singles. Favorite there maybe the debut single from Sonja Selene. There’s also single gold from from Lala Salama, Plastic Tones, Klara LaFleur, Leija Lautamaja, Folkjykä & Kuntoutujat, Bobby Oroza, Vellamo and Inariveljet.
